Vacation Schemes

Students spend two weeks in different departments sharing an office with partners, associates and trainees getting involved in meetings; drafting documents; attending talks; case studies and negotiating exercises. We include sporting and social activities and tours to selected City institutions with 'working' lunches and informal evening events.

Length of the program

Two weeks.

Timing of Scheme

Christmas students are interviewed and offered from 1 October.
Summer scheme students are interviewed and offered from mid-January onwards.

Number of placements

15 on each scheme.

How and when to apply

Apply for our Christmas scheme from October and our Summer scheme from November (we do not process summer scheme applications until January). Please apply via cvMail.

Training Contract

The firm has a comprehensive training programme which ensures that trainees experience a broad range of work. There is a refreshing lack of hierarchy, and all trainee solicitors sit in rooms with partners and associates and receive an individual and extensive training from experienced lawyers, enjoying client contact and responsibility from day one.

Length of the program

2 years.

Seats

There are four seats to do in total. There are three compulsory seats: Corporate, Litigation or Employment and Banking or Real Estate. You can choose your other seat as an option from the other specialist departments.

Deferrals or different intakes

Two intakes September and March.

Number of trainees employed

25 a year.

How and when to apply

We recruit two years in advance so apply at the relevant time, eg. our 2016 intake is open from 1 October 2013 to 31 July 2014. (Final year law and final year non-law students can apply immediately).
